Fuzzy socks are a type of socks that is known for its extreme comfort and softness. Fuzzy socks are generally thicker than other more ordinary socks and therefore much warmer to wear. After all, the reason we wear socks, especially in winter is not only to keep our feet from chaffing but also keep them as warm as possible. For that reason fuzzy socks are the best way to go.

There is a general misconception that fuzzy socks are meant for only women and children. But that is not true there are styles and colors that are available for men also. But some folks do have an allergic reaction to polyester; in that case it is better to go with either wool-nylon blends or even cotton. But if you don’t have a problem with polyester then they are usually the best for making fuzzy socks. It all depends on your taste. When buying cotton fuzzy socks make sure that they are “pre-shrunk” other wise one time in the dryer will tend to shrink them. But most people like to air dry them because it tends not to take away their “fuzziness”.

Like any other type of socks fuzzy socks are also available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. There are ones that will have all sorts of fancy prints on them and others will be more conservative simple’s colors like brown, black or grey. They are of course available for people starting from age zero onwards.

Fuzzy socks do not always have to be worn out doors, in fact they are very popular as an indoor foot wear. You can save on those electricity bills by turning down the heater and wearing a pair of fuzzy socks indoors. And because they are generally thicker than other socks you can just wear them without any flip-flops. Of course because of their “fuzziness” they may pick up more dust and debris than you would like.

Even though there are many styles and colors available, there is also a trend nowadays to purposefully mismatch the socks, yes one color for one foot. They even sell mismatched fuzzy sox.
